Artificial intelligence also teaches us to put on the mask and helps distance

It is called MaskLip and it is the new device created by the Eurotech Research Center, now at the end of the design phase: it is a small device, similar in size and workmanship to a tie clip, which mask it is not worn correctly - and therefore nullifies the contrast to the transmission of the COVID-19 - and indicates when it should be thrown away.

Thanks to a high number of sensors available and to artificial intelligence with which it is equipped, MaskLip rit receives data and sends it to a computer which outputs a result, which can be consulted through an app. This indicates if, in fact, the mask is not worn correctly and if it is time to replace it. During the Covid period, Eurotech created numerous devices related to the contrast and control of the pandemic, such as the people counter portal, which controls the temperature and a device that recognizes whether the subject is wearing a mask or not. A product to be placed at the entrance of highly frequented places, such as the PalaTrieste, Allianz Dome, where it has been installed. Eurotech, with the installation of its count passengers on means of transport, offers a solution in line with the new prevention needs in the public transport sector.

Among the numerous installations, the one aboard the bus of the urban and extra-urban lines of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. A project, which involved the fleets of the main transport operators and proved to be of great use in improving the management of fleets and on-board services for users. The passenger counting installation on buses was made mandatory starting from 2018 by a national decree, and responds to the need for monitor the number of passengers on board in real time but it was enhanced in all its value in the period of Covid 19.
